Just tinkering around with my Windows Vista desktop wallpaper, widgets and Office 2007 features. I did a screen capture of the desktop, pasted to Word 2007 and added visual effects like reflections and a tilt. I’m pretty sure most of these visual effects are standard on a Mac, but I’m stuck with Windows and Linux for now.
Since I’ve been testing Vista and Office 2007, I have yet to exhaust the new features and think they are vast improvments for both the corporate and home consumer’s needs.
The one gripe I have with Office 2007 is that if you send any docs created with it to someone who doesn’t have it yet, they cannot pull it up unless they have a document converter. Why? Previous versions allowed for this, why not 07?
Also, what happens to my software on January 31 after these two are released? Anyone know?
