Techno Mojo Update
Hey folks, thank you for stopping by Techno Mojo. Let me start off by saying that looking for a new job is not easy. Deciding whether or not to change careers in midstream isn’t any easier. The uncertainty is a bit overwelming. The question most of us has is “Do I want to do a good job and make someone else a lot of money or do I want to do something I enjoy and make me some money?”
I’ve received a lot of well wishes and interest lately and the support is appreciated. Now some advice is requested. Do I stick with what I know and pay the bills or do I tackle something new and face something insecure? If I were single, my response would be to try for the new directions and give it my all. With family, the answer should be security, right?
Hardware and networking is my background. Web development and/or design is a goal. Do I sit down and finally get my A+ certification for hardware? What about Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSE)? I’d like to learn programming, too.
My college background is in ministry and education, and not information technology or computer science. My informal, personal education leans towards both of these. Where does a guy like me, who loves tech, go from here?
Any tips/tricks/suggestions/kick in the pants?
