So like everyone else in the nineties, I had a Hotmail account. Also, due to limited dial-up choices back then, I signed up for MSN mail. I’ve maintained that @msn.com account for far too long. The only reason why I didn’t ditch it completely was for the sole purpose of getting Microsoft beta invitations, Tech net news, Office news and certification news. Over time, the junk mail I get is ridiculous.
Even though Microsoft has a new design and bumped up the storage in your account, it did little by way of protection.
Today, I got myself a new account with their as-yet-release of their @live.com addresses. How? Shoot me a comment and I might be able to tell you, but it was super simple and probably won’t last long. The official release won’t come until late summer/early fall.
So why bother with Microsoft mail when Gmail is my main squeeze? Simple answer. For the beta invitations, Tech net news, Office news and certification news. No one else is getting my new address and I won’t have to filter through the promises/lies of a bigger bust, or hair growing from my kidney remedy.
